My filmmaking is rooted in social realism and the belief that cinema can reveal structural injustice through intimate gestures. Globe grew out of time I spent with tribal communities in Attappadi during earlier documentary work, where I saw how land, memory, and identity are inseparable. N. Prabhakaran’s short story, with its quiet yet powerful critique of political neglect, was the seed of this film. Rather than treating Globe as a film about representation, I approached it as an act of listening. The writing drew heavily from songs, rituals, and oral histories that form the living texture of these communities. What compelled me most was the space between folklore and reality — a space that holds resilience.

In an era when land is constantly negotiated and erased in the name of development, the simple journey of a father and son feels urgent. This film is my attempt to preserve a voice that resists not through confrontation, but through an unbroken sense of belonging.
